For non-modified use with RGBPlus sequences, the controller in this package must be connected to Network Regular/Network 1. Each network in your show requires a USB485-HS Adapter (computer show) or an available port of a Showtime Director.
This 6'6" pixel tree kit includes an assembled Pixie8 controller with LOR dangles, 400 pixels, mounting strips, and everything else necessary to set up the tree. No extra parts required.
IMPORTANT: THIS PIXEL TREE USES BLACK PIXELS, WIRES AND STRIPS!
The pixel tree comes either:
‘Customer Assembled’- SAVE MONEY. The pixel tree kit will arrive with all of the pieces needed for assembly. Take the raw components, pixel strips, cable ties, etc. and easily assemble the tree on your own - Just follow these simple directions. (Pictures included!)
‘Factory Assembled’ - SAVE TIME. With this option, the tree is shipped to you ready to setup: the pixels are in inserted in the strips and the strips are attached to the topper. You just place the topper on the pole, stake it down, plug it in, and you're ready to go.
This pixel tree can be connected to your existing Light-O-Rama network with a Cat5 line or used as the only prop in your display. Use a computer or a Showtime Director to control your tree!
Note:Software is not included. We recommend that you purchase the Generic Starter Package to receive the software at a discount. The PRO Version of the Light-O-Rama Software Suite is required to use smart pixel "Motion Effects". You must have a high speed USB 485 Adapter to use this tree with a computer.
The Pixie8 controller & UL recognized MeanWell power supply come mounted in a UL list enclosure. The pixels can either come already mounted in the pixel strips ('Factory Assembled') or ready to assemble upon arrival ('Customer Assembled'). The included stake template provides perfect spacing for the 16 strings and 3 support cables. Mount the controller to the pole inside the tree, then use the adjustable straps to get your tree straight and level.
Staked stub straps can remain frozen in the ground until spring allowing for easy takedown regardless of the temperature. If you'd like to build your own tree base (not required for use), check the tabletop section of your local hardware store and ask about a wooden "36 inch Round."

Assembly
When the tree is fully assembled, it can easily be mounted anywhere anywhere in your yard. We include stakes for anchoring each pixel strip in the ground. At the end of the season just remove the stakes, roll up the pixel strips and store everything in a compact space. The manual comes with complete details of exactly what you need to do.
The real trick to this pixel tree are the strips used to mount the pixels. Made of high quality, UV resistant and super strong plastic, they are designed to space the pixels evenly and keep them facing the same direction. Pixel spacing is 3 inches with vacant holes between the pixels to allow wind to easily pass through.
A "Customer Assembled' tree kit takes, on average, three hours to construct from the time you open the box to the time the tree is ready for use (including the time to push the pixels through the strips). Read the instructions ahead of time to get a jump start on construction! (Actual assembly time may vary by customer.)
