The RF-V6 Easy Light Linker is as easy to use as plugging in a network cable. Wirelessly connect your PC to outdoor controllers for convenience and safety. Each controller can have its own RF-V6 or groups of controllers can share a single RV-V6. Use the ELLs to work with neighbors to create a widespread coordinated show!
The RF-V6 is certified for use in the United States and Canada. This price includes one Wireless Units and one 10' Cat5 patch cable. Cat5 cable can be removed from package if one is already owned.
The RF-V6 is backwards compatible with the RF-V5 and provides the same capabilities. This version has been deemed V6 due to improved board components compared to V5.
Important Usage information:Power:If you are connecting the ELL directly to a PC with no other LOR controllers connected to the PC then you will need the RS485B (voltage booster version) of our USB adapter. In general if there is a LOR controller connected to an ELL via a CAT5 cable the ELL will get power from the controller via the CAT5 cable.
Connections:requires a minimum of two (2) EasyLight Linkers (ELLs)to make a connection. See the "Details" tab for more information and diagrams.
Range:The ELLs have about a 1000 foot outdoor range. (It will vary higher or lower with terrain.) Keep them at least 6 feet off the ground and with no obstructions (buildings or trees) between them when possible.
WARNING --- USING PIXELSThe ELLs do not support the high speeds and ELOR protocol required for pixels. You CANNOT use ELLs on a network with Pixie controllers. (Our Deluxe and RGBPlus Sequences at their defaults are not compatible with ELLs due to the effects included) They work great with our 16 channel CTB16PC controllers, RGB flood lights (CMB24D), and Singing Trees. (Like Traditional Layout sequences)
PIXEL OPTIONYou can connect Multi-network G4 show directors together with ELLs. This allows you to split your pixel show across multiple directors which are synchronized via ELLs. This option requires anN4-G4-MP3 ShowTime Director.
What can you do with an Easy Light Linker? Sync your whole neighborhood to the same show!
If you connect an Easy Light Linker directly to your computer adapter, remember: Easy Light Linkers require power and some communication adapters do not supply it. If you’re going to keep your computer inside and have it communicate wirelessly to the outside controllers, use aUSB485BorUSB485-ISOadapter that will supply the necessary power to the inside Easy Light Linker.
Simple layout using Easy Light Linkers
1. The Light-O-Rama ShowTime Sequencing Suite works on your personal computer running Microsoft Windows and allows you to design your own shows. The ShowTime Sequencing Suite then runs your shows and sends the right commands at the right time to the various control channels. The ShowTime Sequencing Suite can even keep music synchronized to the controller commands.
2. Speakers to play the music accompanying your show are attached to the computer sound card.
3.Your personal computer communicates to the controllers using a device plugged into your computer’s serial or USB communications port. The blue line shows the standard serial output of your computer (RS-232 or USB) out of your PC where it enters our converter that transforms the signal to the native Light-O-Rama network protocol (the green line) that connects to our various types of controllers over standard computer network wire. We recommend Cat 5 LAN cables available from us and off-the-shelf from your local big box store in the computer section.
4. The Easy Light Linker is powered from the nearby controller and sends/receives data. This ability to connect wirelessly is valuable when it’s not practical to run a data cable across lanes of traffic, bodies of water or anywhere people might trip over wire.
5. The Easy Light Linker is powered from the nearby controller and sends/receives data. This ability to connect wirelessly is valuable when it’s not practical to run a data cable across lanes of traffic, bodies of water or anywhere people might trip over wire.
6. The Light-O-Rama professional or residential high voltage AC light controllers include special effects such as simple on/off, intensities, smooth fading, twinkling, shimmering. Controllers can be daisy chained, mixed and matched on one LOR network giving you the ability to command thousands of channels.
7. Electrical power is supplied to the controller placed close to your lights so you don’t need to run long extension cords. Commands from the ShowTime Sequencing Suite are performed on each controller. Power to each of the attached lighting circuits is controlled independently. Think of having many dimmer switches that the computer can change very quickly and independently.

4. The Light-O-Rama Easy Light Linker creates a wireless version of the Light-O-Rama data network. With a range of hundreds of feet depending on the environment, one Easy Light Linker transmitter can send command to multiple Easy Light Linker receivers. Note this Easy Light Linker is connected to a USB485B adapter that provides accessory power.
5. The Easy Light Linker receiver is powered from the nearby controller, receives the network commands and transmits the data to the controllers connected to it. This ability to connect wirelessly is valuable when it’s not practical to run a data cable across lanes of traffic, bodies of water or anywhere people might trip over wire.
