Waterproof RJ45 connector can be used as a dangle ( connector hanging from the controller ) or can be panel mounted with the included rubber washer and nut. This device allows you to make a water proof connect with a CAT5 cable external to your device and allows you to install controllers without opening them in the field. Wire length varies: 18" to 36" depending on availability.
WARNING: The dangle works only with bootless CAT5 cables. Those are the type sold by Light-O-Rama. Many CAT5 cables have boots or rubber strain reliefs. They do not work with this connector.
