RGBPlus Layout and CPC Package Defaults

FAQs

Can I Import CPC Packages in the Software?

- Yes! In 5.6.0 or higher, use the Light-O-Rama Props online menu in the Preview Editor.

Do I Need Every CPC Package for the Sequences to Work?

- No! Just skip any props you don’t own when following the Cat5 path in our diagrams. You can add on new packages in future years.

Mini Director, N2-G4, or N4-G4?

- If you’re using every CPC Package in the default layout, you’ll need an N4-G4 Director or 4 USB485 Adapters (one per network). Watch this video about RGBPlus Networks

If you don’t have every prop, you can use fewer networks and fewer adapters or director ports. A Mini Director or single USB Adapter only supports the smart pixel packages for a 16x25 or 16x50 pixel tree by default. Using other CPC Package props requires network modifications.

RGBPlus vs Deluxe vs Traditional?

  • All Layouts include effects for 4 Traditional controllers, 10W floods, and 50W floods.
  • The RGBPlus Layout additionally includes effects for all CPC Packages.
  • The Deluxe Layout only includes smart pixel effects for the CPC 16x25 tree, CPC 16x50 tree, and Singing Faces set to V1 legacy mode.
  • The Traditional Layout does not include any CPC Package effects

Software Requirement?

- The minimum software level required for RGBPlus Sequences is version S5.6.0 Pro or S6.2.0 Pro, and is listed on each sequence's purchase page. If you purchase an SD card playlist and do NOT plan on making any changes to the effects or the playback order of the songs, you do not need to purchase a software license.

Should I use a Pixielink?

- When using all or nearly all CPC Packages available, a Pixielink may improve playback quality. This advanced device is requires a computer for playback. Learn more here.
