Modify A Preview
A customized preview is the best way to see how sequences will look on your real outdoor display. You can create a preview from scratch, or duplicate a store preview and make modifications. For the best experience, finalize your preview layout before switching any sequences from a store preview to your preview.
Adding or Removing Props
- In the Previews pane of the Sequencer (right hand side), double-click your preview to open it.

- To remove a prop: right-click the prop or group and select Delete.
- To add a prop: click +Add, then select Light-O-Rama Props (online) from the Import column.

- Double-click any prop you wish to add.

- Click Add Prop to add it to your preview.

Note: Props sourced from the Light-O-Rama Props (online) library are pre-tagged and will work with Pixel Bright and/or RGBPlus sequences, depending on the prop set. Adding a custom prop will not automatically pull effects into a purchased sequence — the prop must be tagged manually. Learn more about prop tagging →
Choosing the Right Prop Type: eLOR vs. DMX
When adding props, select the correct prop type to ensure proper network routing. Both types are otherwise identical — the difference is their network configuration.
- eLOR - Use if your prop is running on a Director or USB adapter
- DMX - Use if your prop is running on a PixieLink or Aurora Core
Pixel Capacity Guidelines
Compact Previews are pre-configured to operate within recommended network limits. When adding props, keep your total pixel count within network limits for best results with Pixel Bright or RGBPlus sequences. Learn more about network limits →
Exceeding these limits is possible, but may affect performance on high-pixel-count props such as matrices, mandalas, and mega trees: this is typically visible as a "tearing" effect where complex motion effects fall out of sync. Staying within the recommended range ensures smoother playback across your display.
