Which Category to Enter:

If your display is static, meaning there is no controllers anywhere in your display making the lights flash to music or animation, then enter Shining Bright Category 1 for a chance to win Light-O-Rama store credit towards a starter package for next season!

If this is your first year with a computerized display, regardless of what’s in your show (AC channels, dumb pixels, or smart pixels), Shining Bright Category 2 is reserved for you.

Shining Bright Category 3 is designed for you to show off what you've done with our Traditional or Deluxe store sequences in your own layout; Category 4 is for displays using our RGBPlus sequences with CPC Packages. For example, if you used an RGBPlus sequence this year and made it fit your own display, enter Category 4 to show us how it turned out!

AC channels refer to ‘Non-pixel” fixtures. If you have one of our CTB16PC or LOR1602 controllers, they each have 16 channels (for 16 different elements/fixtures). If you ONLY have AC channel controllers in your display, count up your channels (4 full controllers equals 16 channels), and enter Shining Bright Category 5.

If you’ve added dumb pixels or smart pixels to your AC display and have a mixture of AC and RGB, take a look at Shining Bright Category 6

If your display is ALL pixels (not an AC controller to be found), Shining Bright Category 7 is for you.

If your display is located outside of the United States, Shining Bright Category 8 is the category to enter, regardless of what is in your show.

Shining Bright Category 9 is for the above and beyond! If you’ve used Light-O-Rama products to create a one-of-a-kind display (not a show on a typical house), we want to see your show! Your entry doesn’t even need to be for Christmas – if you’ve used our products to create a stage and unique experience for your visitors for any holiday, or you’ve rigged our equipment and software to control something unusual, submit your show to Category 9. This is also where commercial displays (non-home layouts) should submit their videos.

Requirements to enter the Shining Bright Contest

Category 1 is for static displays (meaning the lights are not controlled by Light-O-Rama right now, but your goal is to upgrade to a computerized display in the future).

Categories 2-9 must be sequenced exclusively using Light-O-Rama software and must be predominantly controlled using Light-O-Rama hardware.

Video must be posted on public sites (YouTube or Vimeo) and reference Light-O-Rama and LOR in the keywords, title, and/or in the video clip.

Media formats accepted for the Shining Bright Contest
