The Assembled Pixie2 controller (or "CCR II") includes the controller board and power supply wired and mounted in a weather-proof, ventilated and UL listed enclosure case. The power supply also is UL listed.
This is a 12 Volt controller system compatible with 12V RGB smart pixel strands and devices, and can handle up to 170 pixels per port (set for 100 to start by default). Dumb RGB devices or standard LED / Incandescent lights cannot be plugged into the ports of this controller. The Pixie2 (CCR II) controller CAN be used in a display containing AC controllers (like the CTB16PC) or Dumb RGB controllers (like the CMB24D); controllers should be connected together in a daisy chain with Cat5 line. Use this controller in a display for Christmas, Halloween, or any other event.
Smart pixels are not included with this controller. To purchase a pixel package, please click here.
Installed LOR style dangles automatically come with this assembled controller. Dangles are required to connect Light-O-Rama pixels to Light-O-Rama controllers.
Note: Software is not included. The PRO Version of the Light-O-Rama Software Suite is required to use smart pixel "Motion Effects."
This system can be used as a replacement for the Original Generation CCR controllers and ribbons. The Original Generation items required one controller per one ribbon (50 lit sections of LEDs).
Each Pixie2 (CCR II) controller can control TWO different sets of RGB pixels (ribbons, bulbs, squares or bullets). For example, if you owned two Original Generation controllers (silver boxes) and two ribbons (one per controller), you would only need one Pixie2 (CCR II) controller and two ribbons to replace your legacy system. Original Generation ribbons are not compatible with the Pixie2 (CCR II) controller.
To transfer your sequencing effects to the upgraded system, simply assign the Pixie2 (CCR II) controller to the same Unit IDs as your original system's controllers. (such as Unit IDs 03 & 04 or 11 & 12 or 54 & 55.) You should not have to make any modifications to your sequencing effects if the Unit IDs remain the same as your original system.
You may need to alter your preview to account for the fact that the start of the pixel strands in a Pixie2 (CCR II) start from the center (one with "start left" and one with "start right") if your Original Generation controllers were set up in a different configuration (such as both ribbons starting to the left of the controller.)
