Stand-Alone Capable Controllers
Don't need music? Our controllers can work on their own.
Some Light-O-Rama controllers are smart enough to operate without an external computer. This can be useful with animated signs or other simple applications. Controllers being used in the stand-alone mode can repeat channel control patterns but cannot play music or video.
Stand-alone operation requires an animation sequence created in the Showtime Sequence Editor (S4) or Sequencer (S5+). This type of sequence has no audio or video and can be downloaded into stand-alone capable Light-O-Rama controllers. The animation sequence can contain 5,000 to 10,000 commands depending on the the type of controller. These commands can also be sent to other controllers attached to the same data network.
How can I use a stand-alone capable controller? If you have a simple application not requiring sound or video, but instead a repeating pattern of lights or other special effects, then using a stand-alone capable controller might work. They’re great for animated signs and museum displays. Just apply power and the stand-alone sequence starts.
