The USB485-HS (High Speed) converts the short range USB output of the computer into the industry standard, long range RS485 protocol. It is used to communicate between the PC and LOR light controllers. This 4-Port USB485-HS is the equivalent of 4 individual USB485-HS Adapters.
This adapter is used to operate four networks of LOR controllers. The USB485-HS is designed to work at up to 1000K network speeds. At least 500k ELOR is required to run smart pixel effects.
Each port on the adapter may be set at a different speed, making it easy to use devices that require low speed or non-enhanced networks.
A filtered 6' USB cable is included. Connector: USB Type A Male to Type B Male. This is a different cable than used by the individual USB485-HS Adapter (Connector: USB Type A Male to Type 5-Pin Mini-B Male).
