How to Use a Compact Preview
Compact Previews are designed to get you up and running quickly. Follow the steps below to download, import, and assign your preview to a sequence. Learn about modifying your preview →
Step 1: Download & Import Your Preview
- Find the Compact Preview that most closely matches the vision for your show. Add it to your cart and complete checkout. Compact Previews are free!
- Once your order is complete, click Download to save your preview file to your computer.
- In S6, open the Previews window and click Import Preview.
- Select your downloaded preview file.
- Click Save. Your preview will now appear in your Previews list and is ready to use.

Step 3: Switch your Sequences to use the Compact Preview
Sequences come with a default preview assigned. Follow these steps to switch to your Compact Preview.
- Open the Pixel Bright sequence you wish to use.
- Navigate to the Sequence menu → Assign Different Preview.
- Select your Compact Preview and click OK.
- A "Map New Preview to Sequence" dialog will appear. Two green checkmarks indicate that all props are matched — no additional mapping is needed. Click Continue.
- A notice may appear indicating that some props from the full sequence will be archived. This is expected behavior — no sequence data is lost.
- Click Save. Your sequence is ready to use with your new preview.
