What can your display look like with our CPC Packages? Take a look!
To use the Spinner CPC Package with our RGBPlus Sequences, the Pixie4 controller in this package must be connected to the AuxA network on your computer or Net 2 of your N2-G4 or N4-G4 Showtime Director. The Pro license level is required to play RGBPlus sequences. The software version required is listed on each RGBPlus sequence purchase page.
Spinners should be arranged with spinner 1 on the left if the spinners are in a horizontal stack, or spinner 1 should be on the top of a vertical stack. When viewing the spinner from the back, the spoke with the Pixel Path "star" (for "start") should be pointing straight down, with the pixel path continuing in a clockwise fashion until it reaches the "square" (for "stop").
The Pixie4 should be given a base Unit ID of 1D; The four Unit IDs for the four ports of this Pixie4 controller (and therefore your spinners) must be 1D, 1E, 1F and 20, both physically on your controller and in your Preview, which correspond to ports 1, 2, 3, and 4 of your Pixie4. Overview
Our "CPC" packages include the "Coro, Pixels, and Controller" you need to easily add smart pixel props into to your display. These packages can be connected to an existing network of Gen3 Light-O-Rama Controllers, or used on a separate network within the same show. One Cat5e or Cat6 cable is required per controller to connect it into a multi-controller network, or directly to a computer, showtime director, or Touch Player if it is the only controller in the show.
Our CPC packages can be used in a display with custom sequencing as long as the controller's Unit IDs do not conflict with any other Unit ID assignments on the network, and network limits have not been exceeded. To incorporate duplicates of these props easily into your display, add a second package to your cart and use the same Unit ID / Universe on your controllers.
S6.2.0 or higher is recommended for easiest use for personal sequence creation; buffer rows were introduced in S6.5.0 for more advanced effect options.
A free Basic license can control up to 680 pixels. A Pro license unlocks full pixel and traditional LED control.
Prop Assembly
Pixels are not pre-pushed. Assembly is to be completed by the customer. A Quick Guide of specific instructions is included with each CPC package. In general, props should be arranged left to right or top to bottom when viewed as the audience.
When viewing a 10mm coro prop from the back, locate the silver "star" in the pixel path as the "start" of pushing your pixels. The side of the pixels with the male end (the 3 prongs) is the starting side of the strand. Follow the silver pixel path until you reach the "square" for "stop." For single line props (arches, rooflines, windows), the pixels should be pushed right to left when viewing the prop from the back. (Left to right viewing as the audience). The Quick Guide instructions will tell you if your prop uses 25, 50, 100, or 150 pixels per port of your controller.
Mount the props to your home or in your yard using standard ground stakes, zip ties, PVC or other mounting material of your choice.
Using CPC Packages with RGBPlus Sequences either requires version S5.6.8+ or S6.2.0+ for use. The required version is listed per sequence or SD card purchase page. CPC Packages are NOT compatible with Traditional Layout Sequences. Learn more about the RGBPlus layout in detail by clicking here.
Using CPC Packages with PixelBright Sequences either version S6.5.0+ for use. CPC Packages are NOT compatible with Traditional Layout Sequences. Learn more about the Pixel Bright layout in detail by clicking here.
The Pixel Bright layout spans 6 ELOR networks. To use the Pixel Bright default layout (rather than making your own custom preview, recommended), using a a Pixielink (or Aurora Core controllers instead of Pixies) is strongly advised.
The Assembled Pixie controller includes the controller board and power supply wired and mounted in a weather-proof, ventilated and UL listed enclosure.
